Dr. Robert Fromental
Dr. Fromental is a distinguished graduate of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at Lyon, specializing in dental surgery. He completed his Second Cycle Doctorate in Dental Surgery, successfully defending his thesis titled ‘Contribution to the study of anchorage on pulped teeth,’ under the presidency of Professor J. EXBRAYAT, president of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of Nice.
His academic training was enriched by multiple seminars and specialized programs. Between 1981 and 1982, he participated in the Parodontology Seminar of Professor J. BORI. From 1983 to 1986, he was part of the Research Group in Periodontology-Prosthesis, and attended courses in Periodontal Surgery taught by Professors KRAMER and NEVINS at the Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Boston. In 1987, he attended the W. COHEN Symposium at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and in 1988, he worked in the service of Professor H. SMUKLER at Boston University.
He distinguished himself in the field of surgery and oral osteo-integrated rehabilitation, obtaining a certificate in 1989 under the tutelage of Professor I. BRANEMARK and M. NEVINS. He also gave master lectures at various institutions, including the Faculty of Dental Surgery of Marseille and Paris VII, as well as the Mediterranean College of Oral Implantology in Marseille.
Throughout the 90s, he devoted himself intensely to teaching and research, collaborating with STRAUMANN France and developing the EVL SYSTEM in collaboration with SERF. He was a member of the CILOS (International College of Lasers in Odonto-Stomatology) and participated in numerous national and international conferences.
His experience extends to laser surgery and the development of innovations in implantology, such as the ‘DRIVE’ implant system. He has been a speaker at many international congresses and symposiums, including SYFAC and IMLA, and has been recognized with various titles and honors, including an honorary doctorate from Loma Linda University, California.
He is an active member of several scientific societies, including the French Society of Periodontology and founded the COLLEGE OF STUDIES AND RESEARCH IN ORAL REHABILITATION. Furthermore, he has published numerous articles in prestigious journals such as ‘Clinical Oral Implants Research’ and ‘International Journal of Dental Research’.
Dr. Élias Khoury
Dr. Elias Khoury, based in Paris, France, is a distinguished figure in the field of oral implantology and bone reconstruction. As a founder and board member of the KCF Scientific Society and engaged in Khoury Fromental Coaching in Paris, he has significantly contributed to the field. Since 2010, he has been a speaker at postgraduate programs at both EVRY and CRETEIL universities and has led numerous private implant training courses. His expertise is recognized nationally and internationally, as evidenced by his participation as a speaker or chairman at various congresses.
Dr. Khoury has been instrumental in the design and training aspects of the KONTACT Implant system with Biotech DENTAL since 2009 and served as a training facilitator on the Ankylos system with Friadent from 2005 to 2008. His academic roles include membership in the French Association of Implantology AFI, past membership in the Lebanese Society of Periodontology, and positions as a lecturer at the Tatum Implant Institute in England from 1999 to 2007, and at the French College of Clinical Surgery in Paris from 2003 to 2004.
An ICOI Fellow and Diplomate, he also holds a Master’s degree in Biomaterials from Paris XI. He taught at the postgraduate implantology program at the University of Nantes from 1995 to 1998 and co-organized the DUROIB Nantes University’s postgraduate program in Oral Rehabilitation by Implants and Biomaterials in 1995. Additionally, he taught at the Lille Medical School’s postgraduate program in implantology and bone reconstruction from 1992 to 1994.
Dr. Khoury has contributed numerous publications on biomaterials and bone augmentation techniques. His educational background includes a graduate degree in Implantology, Maxillary and Mandibular Bone Reconstruction from Lille II Faculty of Medicine in 1989, and a diploma in Dental Surgery from the Faculty of Dental Surgery of Nantes in 1983. His career reflects a profound commitment to advancing dental surgery and implantology through education, innovation, and research.
